| my name is kassi. i used to say something along the lines of being a simple person, but i am learning in life that isn't true. in fact, it isn't true about anybody. every human is completely complex and every person has a story to tell. i like to hear the stories of other people. there is so much to learn from another life. i don't have many close friends, people who know me intimately. i have the tendency to put up the barricade to keep people back. it isn't because i want to be antisocial; it is just a natural defense mechanism. i can usually read people pretty well. i notice things around me, but i don't always let on what i see. i am still learning how to live life. there is so much beauty and pain and laughter and tears and joy and frustration and peace and anger and love. it will take a lifetime to absorb it all. "I've made mistakes in my life. I've let people take advantage of me, and I accepted way less than I deserve. But, I've learned from my bad choices and even though there are some things I can never get back and people who will never be sorry, I'll know better next time and I won't settle for anything less than I deserve." |
